Headies 2021: Omah Lay wins ‘Next Rated’ award, and dedicates it to #LekkiShooting victims

The ‘Next Rated’ category is a voting category for the most promising act in the year under review. Artistes nominated alongside Omah Lay include Tems, Oxlade and Bella Shmurda. Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay has emerged as the winner of the ‘Next Rated’ Award category at the 2021 Headies Awards ceremony.

Oxlade and Bella Shmurda walked with Omah Lay to collect the award which he dedicated to the victims of the Lekki shootings on the 20th of October 2020 during the nationwide #EndSARS protest.
